As most of you know, I’m slightly obsessed with sports. American football is gearing up and I am excited! I have a few fantasy football teams to manage and lots of beer to drink. That is quite the way to bring in the fall season of sports.
In case you missed it, the #21 Aggies defeated the #9 Gamecocks last night 52-28 ending an 18-game home winning streak in a very silent Williams-Brice Stadium. Texas A&M’s QB, Kenny Hill, put on quite the performance completing 44 of 60 passes for a total of 511 yards. That’s right, five-hundred and eleven yards! Up until last night, Manziel held the school’s single-game passing record of 464 yards. South Carolina gave up 7 TD’s on the Aggies’ first 11 possessions. The game was pretty much over at half time with the Fightin’ Texas Aggies leading 31-14.
The Gamecocks do have talent but no combination of plays were successful for them. They were tired and appeared to be mentally defeated. It was obvious that they were not prepared for the relentless Texas A&M. Needless to say, the Aggies remained on top clinching their first win of the season.
